About
Hi there, I’m Soren.
I’m a self-taught herbalist and lifelong student of nature. Growing up, I spent my days in the woods making bizarre “stews” out of weeds and mushrooms, building treehouses, and collecting wildflowers with my siblings. What started as a childhood pastime has blossomed into a deep passion: sharing the beauty, usefulness, and healing powers of herbs and wildflowers with others.
I live in the Northeastern United States, where I write about herbs as they come to life seasonally—blooming, growing, and flourishing. If you’re local to the region, you’ll find plenty of familiar plants to explore here. If not, feel free to browse the blog for whatever herb you’re curious about—there’s something for everyone.
There’s a whole world of healing, flavor, and wonder hiding right under our feet. So many of the “weeds” we overlook have incredible medicinal properties, delicious flavors, or unique uses—it’s impossible not to share what I’ve discovered so far.
Most people don’t realize the abundance of resources in their own backyards, gardens, and nearby woods. Medicinal wildflowers and herbs are nature’s gift to us: free, accessible, and profoundly powerful.
My goal with this blog is to encourage others to embrace herbalism as a practical, enjoyable way of life. What if you could care for your health naturally, using remedies provided by Mother Nature herself? That’s the journey I’m on—and I’d love for you to join me. Honesty & Responsibility Disclaimer

Please know and remember: I am NOT a doctor or scientist or botanist. I do research thoroughly each herb that I write about and share. I use my own knowledge as well as published reputable herbal guides to identify, store and harvest each herb. I make sure to try them myself as well, first, before I recommend a usage for others. Keep in mind, I am not an expert (yet!) Just an eager student of herbs and nature.
If I make a mistake or share something that you believe is incorrect or unhealthy, please tell me. Otherwise, be smart and careful when you are identifying, gathering and using herbs! My rule of thumb is unless three (or more) published herbal experts tell me it's okay to use an herb in a certain way, I don't do it. Using herbs can be healthy, beneficial, and fun! However just like anything else in life, moderation is everything, caution saves lives, and read the directions first.
